Blog Entry #2 Beer and Nuts

In my last blog, I researched other peoples blogs. This process gave me an idea. I noticed a massive amount of blogs out there only trying to appeal to the female audience. So in the spirit of being a "Beer and Nuts" kind of guy, I decided that I want my blog to appeal to not just the females, but us guys as well. Today I will let you in on a few of my favorite beer and nut combinations

So if you do not have a lot of experience in consuming alcoholic beverages, Do Not Fear! You can still try some of these combinations and might come to like a couple. I like to categorize beer into three categories. They have fancy names light lager, and amber, and all that jazz. Forget all that. Just remember, "Dark, Light, and Right In between.  Even if your not the most studious beer drinker, for the average drinker this will work. The first beer I have pictured to the right here Guinness. It is a very popular beer and is well known for their "Dark" beers. Dark beers are typically bitter, stout, and heavy. I would highly recommend with roasted pistachios or almonds.

Your shopping list ~~ Guinness and Pistachios/Almonds.

The picture here on the left is a great example of some beers you have probably noticed on the shelf of your local grocery stores. They are all under the category "Light" beers. Now do not get this confused with beers that say "Bud Light" or "Miller Lite". Those beers are just specific beers with less calories. The "Light" I am referring to is coloration of the beer and how light is feels on your taste buds. This type of beer is actually complements with nuts that are very well salted. Salted peanuts, cashews, and macadamias are your best bet. For a first "Light" beer I would recommend Corona. Not too overpowering, but has the flavor                                                                your looking for.

Now onto the "Right In Between". The reason I have this category is because it leans towards the dark beer, but quite does not make the mark. These types of beers you will notice have a slight bitter taste to begin with, but then leaves on a sweet note at the end. Dos Equis Amber is a great example of this. You can even see in the picture that it has a nice golden brown color. A great compliment to them in the nut family I find personally is any kind of honey roasted nut. Planter's Honey Roasted Peanuts are my personal favorite.

Well there you have it. I hope that if you are looking to try beer in the future, you will try these combinations and enjoy yourself. If your already a beer drinker, then why not try this along side your beer next time you decide to relax and drink your regular beer.
Blog Entry #1 Opinion of Blogging

So as a guy who does not spend a terrible amount of time on the internet, when we were told that we had to read other's blogs I was not exited at all. I mean, I usually keep to myself in general as well unless you asked me about myself. After researching a few popular blogs I came to realize there are not just blogs about peoples lives. There are informative ones as well.

 Be More With Less

Here is a blog that talks about different ways to grow yourself and enjoy life more. I found it very informative and might apply some of these thing in my own life. Definitely will help my relationships with people and myself. It was a great read and hope to see more blogs like this one.

 Design for Mankind

So I wanted to mention this specific blog because it had some positives and negative for me. As a reader I did not really agree with all of the blogs, but a specific blog made by this person made me want to try. She posted a blog that was called "How to Read This Blog". Sounds a little cliche but really drove some points in and made it apparent that the article might not be for everybody. really appreciated the extra effort just to inform the reader and thought it was a great idea for other bloggers.

Cupcakes and Cashmeres

This blog is probably not something that I personally would read again. While it has some great benefits for the average day woman, just nothing to pull the interest for the average "beer and nuts" kind of guy. She talks about latest fashions and places to travel. All which is very informative. I would probably recommend this to my close girl friends or my female family members.

After going through all of these blogs I came to the realize that there are many different types of blogs. Maybe the personal ones do not quite interest me, but there are certain things I will now look up just to get someone else's opinion on specific topics. In conclusion, blogs can also be very helpful tools and might be helpful for me in the future. I am very happy to found a different perspective of the avenue of information. And I hope by you reading this blog, you might have learned that as well.
